Receipt maker

A clean, professional receipt in under a minute. Download or send on WhatsApp.

A receipt says one thing: this was paid. Customers ask for them, accountants need them, and a tidy receipt makes a small business look established.

Why use it

  • Customers trust a business that gives proper receipts, and come back.
  • Receipts are your record of every sale, which makes tax time and disputes far easier.
  • A numbered receipt with your logo looks like a real business, because it is one.

How it works

  1. Add your business name and, if you like, your logo.
  2. Enter who paid and how they paid.
  3. Add each item with quantity and price. Totals update as you type.
  4. Download the PDF or image, or send it straight to WhatsApp.

Good to know

  • The word receipt comes, through old French, from the Latin recepta: "things received".
  • Keep receipt numbers in order with no gaps. Tax officers like that, and so will future you.

Questions

Is a receipt the same as an invoice?

No. An invoice asks for payment. A receipt confirms payment has been made. Many businesses send an invoice first and a receipt once the money arrives.

Is my information saved?

Only on your own device, so your details are filled in next time. Nothing you type is sent to us.

Can I add tax?

Yes. Enter your tax rate and the receipt shows the tax and the total separately.

Is this receipt legally valid?

What a receipt must show depends on your country and whether you are registered for tax. This tool covers the usual details; check your local rules if you need a formal tax receipt.

Please note

Provided free, as is, for general use. It is not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice. Check that your document or figure meets the rules where you are before you rely on it. If you are registered for VAT, GST or sales tax, your country may require specific details on a tax receipt.
